Artificial Intelligence will continue to impact photography with advancements in auto-focus, noise reduction, and image enhancement.

Mirrorless camera technology will continue to advance.

I get news on gear from various online sources. I buy from Adorama.

How is photography making the world a better place in 2024?

By creating art and capturing news events.

Smartphone photography will continue to grow. The technology of phone cameras is improving and making photography available to almost everyone.

If you could pick a photography mentor in 2024, who would you pick? Why?

A local guy named Mitch Schlimer. He’s a dedicated and ethical wildlife photographer. He’s out there every day, and he’s willing to share his knowledge and experience.

The unavoidable question: How do you see the use of artificial intelligence or machine learning impacting photography in 2024?

Auto-focus improvements in cameras, noise reduction, and image enhancement in post-processing.

I look for trends in what is selling in stock photography. I regularly view new images on Adobe, Getty Images, and Shutterstock.

What is your go-to method for overcoming creative block and finding inspiration in 2024?

I looked at photo sites online, visited galleries, and reviewed my older work.

If you could give one piece of advice to a beginner in photography, what would it be?

Learn to be your own best and worst critic. Have a discerning eye for technical quality, artistic vision, and sales potential.

Adobe Lightroom.

What is your biggest strength and your biggest weakness as a photographer in 2024?

My strength is living in Charleston, SC, which has many photo opportunities. My weakness is not having enough time to get out and take photos.

What is the biggest challenge in your photography genre in 2024? What are the solutions?

Competition is the biggest challenge. The solution is to improve my photography and market my work.

Find something you love.

Is there anything else you would like to add or any final thoughts you would like to share about your artistic journey, inspirations, or the impact you hope to make through your photography?

My primary goal is to generate income through stock photography and my website and continue to love photography.
